The wonderful Made in Mada brand was started in 2014 by a pair of Madagascan expats who wanted to bring the country's traditional craft of weaving raffia to their new home country of Australia and the world at large. As well as creating exquisite, handcrafted raffia pieces to bring joy to the everyday, the establishment of the company helps maintain the traditional Madagascan crochet and weaving production and, importantly, provides local workers with a sustainable income. All Made in Mada products are designed in Australia and made in Madagascar.
